Welcome to Lake Macquarie Bushwalkers
Like to share the wonders of nature, feel fitter, have fun and make friends all at the same time? If that is what you are looking for, then why not try going on a bushwalk with us?
Lake Macquarie Bushwalkers offers day walks each Wednesday and Saturday between February to November inclusive. We aim to provide a range of walks, from easy to challenging. Settings can be quite urban or rarely visited bushland, or anything in between. The location of the walks vary from Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, the Hunter, Port Stephens and Sydney.
We also offer a number of social events and walking trips away throughout the year.
Our club is affiliated with Bushwalking NSW (the peak bushwalking body in NSW). It aims to maintain best practice in line with Bushwalking NSW policies and has full insurance coverage.
All this can be yours for the price of a few cups of coffee a year
Our wonderful walk leaders and office bearers are well trained and experienced volunteers. There is no charge for our services except for a small annual fee if you become a full member of our club.
